As I wrote in previous article, I inadvertently dropped the iPhone 15 and the front panel was cracked, so I decided to go repair it.
If you get face-to-face support at an Apple retail store for repairs, you’ll have to go to the Genius Bar. There are several other repair methods, such as an authorized service provider, but this time I decided to use the Genius Bar.
To use the Genius Bar, you need to bring the device you want to repair, such as an iPhone, to the site, but if you make a reservation in advance, you will not have to wait in line after arriving at the store. Convenient.
In this article, I made a reservation for visiting the store from the website, so I will explain the procedure.

To use the Genius Bar, first, go to Apple’s site and go to the support page.
You may search by entering a keyword such as “Apple repair” as a search keyword such as Google.

Select the type of device you need support for. This time it’s an iPhone, but you can also choose a device such as an iPad or Mac.

Select the type of support you want to receive
This time, I wanted to send the iPhone 15 for repair after receiving face-to-face support at the Genius Bar in the Apple Store in Ginza, so I chose “Bring-in repair” on the upper left.

Select the type of options you want to receive. If you bring the device to the store and wish to have it repaired, select “Schedule a Repair” in the left.

You need to sign in with your Apple ID
If you select “Schedule a Repair”, the screen for entering your Apple ID will be displayed automatically. If you want to continue booking, use your Apple ID and password to log in.

You’ll need to sign in with your Apple ID to book a visit to the Genius Bar on the website.

What if I forget my password?
Below the Apple ID entry field, there is a link that says “Forgotten your password?”, Click here. You can reset the password, etc.

Search for the nearest store
When you sign in with your Apple ID, you’ll automatically be switched to a screen for Two-factor authentication. And you’ll recieve confirmation code soon.
Enter the code to the screen.

After entering the code, you’ll see below message. Touch the Trust button.

When you sign in with your Apple ID, your own devices are displayed on the screen. Select a device to repair.

When you select a device, you’ll automatically be taken to a search screen for stores that carry out repairs.

When you search, the store will be displayed on the map
When you search, you will see a list of nearby stores (although it is within a reasonable range), and pins are also mapped on the map.
Choose a store that is convenient for you.

A list of supportable stores near the searched place name is displayed, and at the same time, it is also pinned on the map.

Finally select the time
When you select a store, a screen for selecting the visit time is displayed in a pop-up.
If you select a convenient time from these, all reservation work will be completed.

Finally, select the visit time from the options. The screen is where I selected the Apple Store in Ginza. As for the visit time, it seems that frames are prepared in increments of 10 to 15 minutes. You can choose a date a little later, so choose a date and time that suits you best.

If you select the visit time, the reservation will be completed as it is.

Apple’s carry-on repair reservation has been completed. You can see that the items selected on the screen so far are reflected on the screen as they are.

You can cancel when you are really busy.
If you select the cancel button on the screen, the cancellation will be completed.

It is also possible to cancel what was reserved for visiting the store. If you have something that you can’t remove, you should use it.

Reserving a visit to the Genius Bar on the Web is designed to be easy, with many selectable screens.
The only thing that could get caught in the middle is entering your Apple ID and password. (If you usually use your Apple ID, you can easily break through.)
If you can’t remember it, and you can’t reset or recover your password, give up your reservation and go directly to the store.
